Pastor Daren L. Barron, MBA, was born and raised in Oakland, California and is the Founder and Senior Pastor of World Conquerors Church. Although reluctant, Pastor Daren knew the prompting of The Spirit of God to start a church in the Oakland Hills was very clear. His personal desire was to continue his lucrative career working in the software/telecommunications industry where he was recognized as one of the youngest and one of the few African American executives in Silicon Valley. However, the call of God was so strong on his life that he ultimately answered and accepted the challenge to build a church in partnership with his wife, First Lady Monnique Barron.
Pastor Barron’s ministry has shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ with thousands domestically and globally, receiving hundreds who call World Conquerors Church their home. Pastor Barron’s mission is to Build families, Impact communities, and Reach the World for Jesus Christ. He is known as a passionate servant/leader that has a gift in helping others discover who they were born to be. Known for his testimonial and transparent heartful style of teaching, Pastor engages audiences with anointed insight into the scriptures to help his audience take practical steps toward living the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Pastor Barron teaches people how to live the Word and not just hear it. Pastor not only preaches the Word, he also lives it out loud! He loves his congregation and his congregation loves him! Pastor Barron is a pastors’ pastor mentoring and counseling clergy across denominational lines.
His greatest accomplishments are not all of the awards, positions, appointments, and accolades that he has received over the years, but his family, which is without question his greatest earthly accomplishment. Pastor Barron has been married to his college sweetheart approaching three decades. Together, they have five beautiful children, a daughter-in-law, and a granddaughter.Pastor Daren earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia. His value for education moved him to continue post-graduate studies. He attended the University of Phoenix earning a Master of Management degree and is currently a Ph.D. candidate. In addition, Pastor Daren attended Fuller Theological Seminary, completing classes towards a Master of Divinity degree.
One of Pastors favorite scriptures says “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible!” It is Pastor Barron’s prayer that we all begin to see from God’s perspective, know God’s love for us, and know with God all things are possible!
First Lady Monnique Barron was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio and is the co-founder and Vice President of Operations at World Conquerors Church. After hearing from Pastor Daren that the Lord was calling him to start a church in the Oakland Hills, First Lady Monnique slowly but surely became one of the key people used of God to encourage Pastor Daren to answer the call. Although they were charting unknown waters, First Lady Monnique believed the Word of God and knew that if God was planting this vision in her husband’s heart, that the provision to make the church become a reality would come from the Lord.
The Lord clearly showed her that she was not to work in corporate America, but that she was to serve as the helpmate to her husband and the primary person used of God to “raise up her children in the way that they should go so that when they get old they would not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6).
First Lady Monnique earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia and is a life-long learner, attending conferences, workshops, classes and other learning opportunities to continue to build her knowledge, faith and understanding of God’s Word. First Lady Monnique and Pastor Daren were married on March 30, 1991 and were blessed with five wonderful children: Drew, Maiyanna, Mone’t, Mariah, and Daren, Jr. (D.J.).
