Project Conqueror is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting economic development while inspiring, motivating, and leading change in underserved communities in the Bay Area, particularly in minority and economically depressed communities. Project Conqueror sponsors a variety of programs, including a motivational speaking program designed to reach at-risk youth and a Saturday school that offers two hours per week of free tutoring for K-12 students to help them master current schoolwork or learn advanced educational concepts. Visit us on the web at www.projectconqueror.org for more information.
One of the programs that Project Conqueror supports is Colours of Life, a comprehensive psychosocial program that uses visual arts to address poverty and to promote crime intervention, positive well-being, and confidence building. The program focuses on youth in Trinidad and Tobago, West Indies. The program was started by WCC’s own Aisha McCloud. Click here to see a brief video about the program.
