OUR STORY
World Conquerors Church was born out of a Bible Study group on August 8, 2002. That first Bible study consisted of six adults and the five Barron children, and over time it grew in numbers and in faith. Our Founder and Pastor, Daren L. Barron, had a vision of the Bible Study growing into a church, where he saw himself speaking to thousands of people. Over a two year period that vision began to develop into a reality. On August 8, 2004, we celebrated our emergence as a church and began hosting weekly Sunday Celebration Services and Thursday night Bible Study groups.
Today, under the leadership of Pastor Daren, World Conquerors Church has grown to encompass a variety of ministries that carry out our mission to build the Church (people), impact the community, and reach the world. These ministries include Growth Groups, which allow WCC members and visitors to get together up to three times per week in small groups to discuss and dissect the Word from the prior Sunday’s service; quarterly community outreach missions in the Oakland community to provide meals for the less fortunate; the WCC Saturday School Tutorial Program, which works with K-12 students to bring out their academic excellence; and Project Conqueror, WCC’s nonprofit arm, which has given compelling, life-altering presentations to more than 1,000 public school students
